Community, Service & Togetherness

The Dallas Area Rayalaseema Association (DARA) continues its commitment to bringing the community together through cultural celebrations, community service, charitable initiatives, and family-oriented events.
Throughout 2026, DARA has organized several meaningful events that reflect our commitment to Seva, Community, Culture, and Giving Back to Society.

❤️ Mother’s Day Celebration – May 16, 2026

DARA proudly hosted a grand Mother’s Day Celebration on May 16, 2026, at the Frisco Event Center.
The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for families and community members to come together and honor the love, sacrifices, and invaluable contributions of mothers.
The success of the event was made possible through the tremendous teamwork and dedication of the DARA team and volunteers. From event coordination and program arrangements to venue decorations, many members contributed their time, creativity, and effort.
A special appreciation goes to Manjula Konda for the beautiful decorations created for the celebration. The stunning mother-and-daughter backdrop, elegant archway, red carpet, and beautifully arranged venue created a warm and memorable atmosphere for all the mothers and attendees.
The beautiful setup provided families with a wonderful opportunity to capture memorable moments and added a special touch to the celebration.
DARA sincerely thanks all the volunteers, organizers, supporters, families, and friends who came together to make the Mother’s Day celebration a memorable success.

🏃 DARA 5K Walk & Run – June 27, 2026

As part of DARA’s “Give Back to Society” initiative, DARA organized the DARA 5K Walk & Run on June 27, 2026, supporting underprivileged and needy communities back home. The initiative focuses on collecting proceeds and directing them toward meaningful causes and organizations that serve people in need. The 5K brought together community members for a healthy and enjoyable activity while supporting a greater purpose — Seva, compassion, and giving back to society. It was heartwarming to see the organizations and communities supported by DARA remember our efforts and share their blessings and appreciation with us. DARA extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, contributed, and supported this meaningful initiative. Together, we continue our journey of Seva and giving back to society.

🩸 Community Blood Drive – August 8, 2026

DARA successfully organized a Community Blood Drive on August 8, 2026, at Outpace LLC in Irving, Texas, in collaboration with Carter BloodCare. The event received an overwhelming response from the community, with 29+ people screened and 21 successful blood donations. According to Carter BloodCare, the drive was among the larger blood drives they had conducted in recent months. This achievement reflects the generosity and commitment of the DARA community toward supporting lifesaving causes. DARA extends its heartfelt appreciation to all the donors, volunteers, organizers, families, friends, and supporters who helped make the blood drive a tremendous success. Every blood donation can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families in need. Together, we gave hope and contributed toward saving lives.
